How to make a pizza from scratch. Although it has Italian roots, pizza is a favorite around the world. Make your own pizza from scratch at home is not difficult and can be made with ingredients you probably have available or easy to find. Take a little time to make a perfect pizza from scratch, but the result is worth it.

Dissolve the yeast in a small bowl with warm water. Let the yeast sit in the bowl for five minutes and stir to finish if it does not dissolve completely.

Preheat oven to 400-450 degrees Fahrenheit (204-232 degrees C).
