The high protein content of the egg makes it an ideal food to eat at breakfast time. It is usually prepared fried, but there are different ways of cooking in a healthier way, one of them is delicious escalfarlos and serve on rolls.
¤2 rolls comprehensive Arab or 2 muffins.
¤8 strips of bacon or lean bacon.
¤1 tablespoon white vinegar or lemon juice.
¤2 large tomatoes.
¤2 portobello mushrooms or 6.
¤4 tablespoons vegetable broth.
¤Salt and pepper.
¤Chinese chives or onion.
Heat a grill to medium heat and toast the rolls or muffins Arabs for 1 minute. Reserve warm.
We removed the bark of bacon and roast on the grill about 2 minutes per side and place on paper towel.
We put in a pan 2 cm of water and add vinegar or lemon juice when it starts to boil lower the heat, add the eggs and let poach for 5 minutes, until the white fruit set but the yolk liquid follow.
Cut the tomato into 4 thick slices each and put them on foil on rack of grill for about 2 minutes. Salpimentamos.Cut the mushrooms into slices and put them in a pan with the broth, cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Slip and reserve warm.Place the tomatoes and mushrooms over the bread, put up 2 strips of bacon and carefully assemble an egg. Sprinkle with pepper and garnish with finely chopped onion. Serve immediately.
The muffins are great for this recipe but if you get them you can use the tops of any ordinary bread or whole loaf. We can not deny that poaching eggs is not a simple process, but there are “tricks” that help us prepare them quickly and easily. You can use molds for poached eggs. Another great idea is to place them in bags colcar greased with oil or plastic wrap in a bowl, grease the paper, lay the eggs forming packets and tie and then place them in the water, you can even combine them into aromatic with hierbitas.
For a vegetarian breakfast instead of bacon use more tomato, cheese or tofu.
